In a part of this speech, Dr. Rafiei says: …From a policy point of view, those in charge of a country’s health and its people cannot ignore social elements, social welfare, and social problems; And the least they can do is to consider these elements – such as unemployment, inequality, etc. – as social determinants of health, and when they realize that ab implemented policy, is negatively affecting one of these determinants and threatening people’s health, they should give feedback, warn other policymakers, and be persistent in possible modifications for this policy.
