Dr. Mohammad Kiasalar, an expert of medical ethics and media activist, in his speech titled “Media and Health”, gave a brief definition of the most important concepts of media in a healthcare setting and illustrated the harms of fake news for this field. According to the public relations report of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, in a part of this speech, Dr. Kiasalar says: Many researches have studied fake news around the world, for example, in 2017, a study was conducted on Twitter, and based on its results, it was determined that fake news spreads 3 times faster than reliable and honest news, and accordingly, users of this platform may, on average, have a 70% probability of reposting fake news.
This project is being implemented in cooperation with the Student and Cultural Vice-Chancellor of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, the Health Equity Research Center (HERC) of Tehran University of Medical Sciences and Public Relations of Tehran University of Medical Sciences.
