In a part of this speech, Dr. Keshavarz says: We have a term called “social gradient of health” which means that if we consider health as an orb that we must lead to the destination, this is not an equally easy task for all, and depending on one’s social conditions, they may have to push this ball up a higher slope, which is definitely more difficult. Now, the more unfavorable the social conditions, the steeper the slope and thus reaching health will be harder. Factors that increase this slope include “Poverty”, “unsuitable housing”, “inadequate nutrition”, “lack of education” and “unsuitable environmental conditions”.
