The official translation of the “Health Impact Assessment” Book has been published by the Health Equity Research Center in collaboration with the National Center for Health Insurance Research
The Health Equity Research Center, affiliated with Tehran University of Medical Sciences, is honored to release the official translation of the “Health Impact Assessment” book.
This translation, which is the result of our colleagues’ endeavors, is constructed in four sections. In the first section, health impact assessment (HIA) and its integration with public health policymaking and development is the main theme. The second section focuses on introducing HIA theoretics and noting selected studies from the USA and other countries. During the third section, 6 main HIA steps are thoroughly discussed, and finally, the implementation and developmental process of HIA in the USA are illustrated in the fourth and final section.
The main objective of this publication was to illustrate the concept of HIA and to create a general overview of this method; we hope that it’ll be a practical and useful tool for selected Health Assessments in the country.
