Dr. Amirhossein Takian, HERC’s Deputy of Research, elected as the Virchow Foundation for Global Health Council’s Co-founding member

Dr. Amirhossein Takian, Deputy of Tehran University of Medical Sciences school of public health International relations, professor of and head of Global Health and Public Policy group, has been elected as one of the Virchow Foundation for Global Health Council‘s co-founders; along with other great global health experts.

This foundation, which was named after the famous German physician and will celebrate its 200th anniversary in October of 2022, along with its various promotional programs for improving global health, presents annual awards to organizations or individuals with outstanding contributions to global health.

Given this award’s status and quantity, it can be considered as the Nobel prize of global health.
