Health Equity Research Center’s tenth Journal Club was successfully concluded on the noon of November 23rd, 2021.

In this session of our journal club, the main discussion was the paper titled “Socioeconomic determinants of unmet need for outpatient healthcare services in Iran: a national cross-sectional study“

Dr. Hakimeh Mostafavi, as the moderator started the session with a brief overview of the agenda, the paper, and an introduction of our center.

Next, Dr. Sajad Vahedi, one of the authors, presented the paper giving a detailed explanation of its background and methodology and illustrating the main goals and findings pointing to its importance for Iran’s healthcare system.

The session came to an end with a short Q&A panel where attendees could freely discuss the paper and speak with the author.

This was the tenth club of our series of Journal Clubs which will be held once every other week on Tuesdays. Attendance is free for whoever is interested in subjects of health and equity. Check the website for updates and announcements.
